Im beginning to wonder if things are still working around this website. Ive really gotta get around to updating this site, its one of the few left standing.

I try to remember to pop in. Bini seems to have left us, since she got a facebook profile. I've been distracted with watching a puppy webcam, and since I got Google Chrome, I've been distracted playing VW on fb and doing other stuff. (I can do stuff faster with GC.  )
Can I be a judge again?

I dont know how many judges we were gonna do this year. Jaime and I working on it.
it's hard to grow this forum until the anti spam measure gets fixed from Ikonboard. I had to shut off the registrations. From what i've noticed is message boards are becoming filled with spam these days and people hardly use the damn things. So I'm beginning to have a debate on whether to include a forum in the new version of CrowFans.com.

Message boards are a dying breed these days. It seems like most discussion takes place on social media. The other website I run about the Spokane Chiefs (local hockey team) doesnt get a lot of traffic but the facebook page gets way more engagement and traffic.
I know for Version 5 I'm consolidating The Crow's Loft and CrowFans.com into one site. A Boy and His Bird's news archive will be merged into the CrowFans.com news section.
Will I shut down this forum? No, It will continue on at CrowFans.net and who knows maybe if Ikonboard gets their stuff together it will get updated and be allowed to take on new members.

Yay!
I was wondering why we haven't had any new members in a while...
There's an StH Page on fb, but it doesn't get much traffic, either. 
I'm a little sad that I don't see any of the other Mods. here posting now and then. Well, okay, Ash posts once in a blue moon...

Thanks for keeping us 'alive', Frank. I know this board is public, but it still has a little sense of 'privacy'. A quiet place to escape from fb.

I don't know though, moving the discussion forum instead to a facebook group could breathe new life in to it, plus allow it to reach a wider audience. Instead of threads you just have wall posts with potentially a gazillion replies. But probably no more word association games. Wow I have not posted here in a long time me thinks...

I still drop by from time to time. Checked my old Wingman email today for the first time in a couple months and had an email from Erin. Got an email from Weeble sometime in January but she never replied. Messaged with Ally a few times but drifted apart again. Haven't talked to Sting in ages. I've known some of these folks since '98. Hard to believe it's been that long. That's when I discovered Cecil's Crow Page. (bet that just sent a chill down his spine) The floppys are probable corrupt by now but I did still have copies of that site. That's where I met Raven, Erin, Weeble, Sting.
I don't know, going from newsgroups and chats to message boards and pm's. Spending endless hours on the computer. Hell, Raven and me chatted a whole day non-stop once. What I'm getting to is, I just can't force myself to get into the *new* social media with facebook and twitter and whatever. It's just too draining to me. lol
Anyways, thanks for keeping this site going Frank and I do hope you keep a message board. May not stop in often but I'll never forget this place.

I'm here! I found my way back through the fog that is facebook!
Yeah, most of it seems to be going on there nowadays. Thing is, everything that we do here is Random Thoughts, and that sort of stuff is just as easily said on facebook. Post something like it on your timeline and the leftover crowfans usually respond to it... so yeah, I dunno. Give it a try?
