Who's your pick for an actress to play a female Crow?

I would rather see an up and coming actress, but if i had to choose from the list (and i forgot to) I would choose Dushku.

I don't care who plays her, I just hope the movie is good

everything else is irrelevant to the story so far.

I, too, went with Eliza. I loved her as Tru! (I miss that show!! )
Second choice would be Natalie.
Nothing against the older actresses, but it just seems like something that should be portrayed by a younger actress. IMHO, anyway.
(Of course, it sort of depends on the storyline, too... )

If it should be one of the list I would definitly see Eliza Dushku in a female crow movie.
And well, I also think that younger actresses in a crow movie would attract more viewers, coz every Crow movie has been made with 'young' actors

You forgot? Well, crud! Think hard, and try to remember who it was! And I can't think of anyone you might have mentioned you would like. ( Don't ask me to remember a few years ago. I can barely remember last week! )

I want Natalie Portman in that part...I think she would be kinda cool...i mean i could be all wrong but if i picture it for myself she would be really good in black n all...after I saw "Domino" a while back I am sure she would be good....btw Domino sucked big time

I would be perfectly happy if either Eliza or Natalie got the part.
I think either one of them would be great at kicking some "backside". (Keeping it "G"... )
And, of course, both would definitely look great in black!

Hey, I'm new here, and thought this thread would be a good start.
I'd go for Eliza myself, but I was wondering if any of you were aware of the fact there has already been a movie with a female Crow.
It was released in 2000, and was called Wings of the Crow. It starred nobody and sank without trace, but it did happen. Most of the characters from the movie made it, but the lead was switched from Eric Draven to a female called Erica Drake.

So, Shelly was a "He"? Hm. Looks like that's one of those things that can happen when a wrestler has too much money on his hands. Me like Crow. Me make my *own* movie. (The guy playing "Shelly" is an IPW Wrestler, who Wrote, Produced, and "Acted" in this 'movie'. )
Clearly the guy didn't get the concept, if he changed the name to "Drake". I always thought a Drake was a male *Duck*! To me, that's a bad start if you're making a movie about a character that is in a movie with the word Crow in the title.
Ooh, and the gal that played Erika, is a wrestler too! The gal that played Darla, dated (-for 3 years-) the guy who wrote it.
It's no wonder no one knows about it. I'm thinking it's best it stays that way.
But thanks for letting us know about it, DC. :-) Oh, and welcome to the board. Do come and join us down in Random Thoughts. (You might also want to check out the Sports Bar discussion area. ) And after seeing your name in your profile, I have to ask, is that really your name? Or is it borrowed from G.B. Shaw? (From Pygmalion/My Fair Lady. )

I was totally set on Eliza Dushku way back, but after seeing Death Proof, I'm thinking Vanessa Frilito (I think that's her name. The one that does the lapdance) as a female crow. THoughts?

Hm. Interesting thought. I didn't realize I'd seen her on CSI. (Guess I was paying more attention to the storyline. ) Here's her profile on IMDb: Vanessa Ferlito (In case anyone wants to see who she is. )
I was recently thinking that Keira Knightly might be able to pull it off pretty well. (Maybe a female Crow with a sword? )
And if I were to vote for an 'older' gal, I think I'd go with Jennifer Garner. After all, she's got plenty of practice kicking backside from being on Alias. (I had no idea she's 35! :-O )

I def voted for Eliza but I also think Amber Benson(Tara on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) would do a good job...it would all depend on the storyline...

I had actually written a 30-ish page script treatment back in '95 (it was in my backpack when it was stolen from a friend's car) that was set in New Orleans, and I wrote it with Kate Winslet in mind. That being said, if I were to go with a younger actress now, I would say Dusku would be good, but I also like the idea of maybe Zooey Deschanel, or perhaps Summer Glau (I can't wait to watch her as a Terminator in the Sarah Connor Chronicles!!)

I personally would love to see Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel, or an unknown as a female lead in a Crow film.
